I teach graduate classes in science communication in the School of Communication at Northern Arizona University, where I direct the Graduate Certificate in Science Communication. I also direct the university’s Master of Arts in Sustainable Communities Program, an interdisciplinary effort in teaching and research that focuses on community sustainability, study of the human and natural environment, and broad-based education. In that program I oversee the Northern Arizona Rural Foods Pathways Project, a community-engaged research and outreach program aimed at improving food access in the state’s rural communities.
In the spring of 2013 I taught a graduate seminar in effective science communication in theĀ School of Integrated Climate System Sciences (SICSS) at the University of Hamburg.
